This comes a moment after hundreds of county residents turned up in large numbers to increase pressure on the electoral body to vacate office.

Mr Dennis Marube and Carolyne Mogere who chairs the party’s youth and women leagues respectively were unanimous that the government ought to sit with opposition to solve the standoff.

“This problem (IEBC) we are facing can only be addressed meaningfully if our brothers from Jubilee sit down with us to constitute a trusted commission that can take us to polls,” Marube said.

“The current commission works with them and that is why they are defending them vehemently but we can strike a deal as political parties to send the current commission home without us going to streets," he said.

"But unfortunately, the Jubilee side seems hell bent in calling for its disbandment,” he added.

Ms Mogere on his part challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to rally his troops to support calls to disband the commission and engage Cord leaders to find a political solution.

“If they don’t embrace dialogue, Kenya may again experience what we saw in 2008. Changing the commission for the sake of transparency should not be a big deal that jubilee opposes," said Mogere.

"President Kenyatta should come forth and support the calls to get rid of the current commission if he appreciates free and fair polls,” she said.
