The opposition will not be cowed into shelving its continued fight against electoral injustice in the country, Busia Woman Representative has said.
Speaking on Sunday during a funds drive in Teso North, Florence Mutua noted that the work of the opposition is to put the government in check adding that no amount of intimidation and harassment will deter NASA leaders from fighting against poll rigging and manipulation.
"We shall continue fighting to ensure an end to electoral injustice before the 2022 general election.
"The IEBC has no short-cut other than conducting free, fair and credible elections. We won't stop and sit as the country goes the wrong direction. Even arrests won't stop us," she said.
The State has been on a massive crackdown against NASA leaders believed to have championed the swearing in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the 'People's President on January 30.
The crackdown saw three politicians allied to Mr Odinga being arrested.
The latest leader to be arrested was vocal lawyer Miguna Miguna who was detained for five days before being deported to Canada.
