Jubilee Party was launched early last month and is expected to wrestle with Cord, which is yet to name its presidential candidate.

And Mr Angwenyi on Tuesday ruled out chances of opposition winning an election terming it ‘too weak’ to beat the government.

"Jubilee is very organised and that can be seen in the way we conduct our issues without much difficulty. I am optimistic that we will win next year presidential and even parliamentary and assembly elections,” he said.

“The opposition is very weak and I don’t see them as potential challengers. They are disorganised and do not even have a candidate with few months to General elections. It’s time that they join Jubilee because it’s the solution to a few challenges facing us,” he said.

He backed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime saying that it had done ‘extraordinary’ job in terms of agriculture and infrastructure.

“We have seen many infrastructural projects across the country and even much better services in a number of sectors. The president deserves a second term,” he said.
