Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka says Jubilee party will give the National Super Alliance (NASA) a run for its money in the Western part of Kenya.
Mr Lusaka, who received a direct Jubilee ticket to defend his seat, said the party’s team is firmly on the ground to sell their agenda to the voters ahead of the August 8 general election. “We want those still in Nairobi waiting to get their certificates to come to the villages and sell our Jubilee policies in a civilised manner that will see us carry the day on August 8,” the governor said, as per The Star. The former ally of NASA presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga told The Star that the Opposition did not have anything to offer the people of Western Kenya. The governor, who will lead the team campaigning for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, urged politicians to stay away from hate and violence during the busy campaign season. Political analysts consider a NASA stronghold despite Water cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa coming from the area.
