Meru Woman Representative Florence Kajuju has dismissed claims that Jubilee Party (JP) will be weakened by defections that are being witnessed in the party.

Speaking in Tigani West on Monday, Kajuju said that Jubilee Party is strong and cannot be weakened by defections.

She stated that claims of the party losing ground in some of its perceived strongholds are mere propaganda.

“Jubilee Party will not be shaken by few defections that have been witness recently, “she said.

The Woman Representative exuded confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party will triumph in August.

She noted that the Party has numbers that will see President Kenyatta re-elected in August.

The MP also rubbished claims that opposition is ‘eating’ up into perceived Jubilee regions.

She said that the opposition has no agenda adding that Kenyans will support Uhuru’s re-election.

Jubilee Party has experienced defections in the recent days with defectors heading to Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party.

Political analysts observe that more defections are expected in political parties ahead of party primaries slated for next month.
