Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has expressed confidence that the Jubilee Party will win the upcoming general election slated for August 8.
Speaking on Citizen TV Tuesday, the Senator maintained that his team has made several successful raids in perceived opposition strongholds, and is set to widen the gap it defeated the opposition with in the last polls.
Murkomen further said that Jubilee is set to get maximum support from the North Eastern region which is largely inhabited by the Somali community.
''We are sure of a win because we have managed to make successful inroads in opposition turfs. Currently, we are enjoying remarkable support in Western, Coast and parts of Nyanza region. We are also confident of locking it one hundred percent in North Eastern,'' he said.
He also urged his counterparts in the party to take part in ensuring the actualization of Jubilee's dream to ensure that President Kenyatta gets a second term at the helm of the government by pushing for maximum voter turnout on the date.
''We as Jubilee leaders have to put in extra effort to ensure that all our supporters come out to vote on the election day,'' said Murkomen.
This comes at a time when both Jubilee and NASA have intensified their campaigns with each hoping of trouncing the other come eighth.
