Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has said Jubilee Party leaders are out to ensure that the party wins all the political seats in the county.
Speaking during a meeting with Jubilee aspirants from this part of the country, Lusaka said that the party will be targetting all elective positions including gubernatorial seat.
"Our target is nothing less but a clean sweep of all the political seats in the county,” said Lusaka, as quoted by The Standard.
He added: "As a party, we will ensure we capture all the 45 MCA posts, nine MPs, the Women Representative, Senator and Governor's position.”
Lusaka, however, said the performance of the party will depend on how they conduct nominations.
He further urged the officials to ensure free and fair nominations to make this dream a reality after the next general elections.
"Free and fair nominations will greatly determine our performance. As a party we have agreed IEBC will conduct the exercise to ensure it is above board,” explained Lusaka.
Bungoma County is one of the counties that has attracted campaigns by different presidential candidates including President Uhuru Kenyatta and Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
This comes a few days after Lusaka rubbished Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula’s presidential bid.
