A CS and Jubilee women brigade have rejected calls for dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga.
They were led by Public Service CS Sicily Kariuki, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, nominated MP Cecily Mbarire, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Kiambu woman representatives Jane Wanjuki, Beatrice Nkatha and Gathoni Muchomba.
The leaders were speaking during a meeting of the Jubilee Women’s Brigade in Embu county on Thursday.
Anne Waiguru said the Constitution does not recognise dialogue, but rather voting.
More than five hundred women attended the event.
Waiguru said Kenya is a democratic country and the Constitution provides for universal suffrage.
Mbarire said President Kenyatta has given in to most of the orders made by the court and he should not accept dialogue, but rather wait for the October 26 repeat election.
The leaders hit out at former IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe, who fled to New York before resigning.
They accused her of working with NASA to sabotage the August 8 presidential election, leading to its nullification.
Waiguru claimed Akombe’s resignation and flight was a deal she had planned with NASA to paint a bad image of Kenya.
