According to Sudi, the move was not tribal and he was ready to defend himself in court for the protests that were led by governors Jackson Mandago, Alex Tolgos and a section of Mps from Rift Valley.

“Some people mistook us for being tribalistic. We are not tribalists and Nkaissery should stop threatening us with court action because we have done nothing wrong. If he wants to take us to court we are ready to defend ourselves,” he said.

Nkaissery had called on the leaders to apologize or face prosecution by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission.

The leaders were against the appointment of Laban Ayiro demanding that Prof Issac Kosgey be given the position.
