Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga’s nomination of their kinsmen to join East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) has exposed what many Kenyans never knew about both Jubilee and NASA ahead of the August polls.
After politicians from Jubilee faulted the nomination of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy and Raila Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Odinga, NASA leaders have come out with their guns blazing.
The Deputy President William Ruto has launched a scathing on NASA, accusing them of nepotism. “They always tell us that they don’t want tribalism, but you are practising nepotism,” Ruto said.
National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has also threatened that he will lead his caravan to oppose the nomination of Kalonzo’s son to join the Assembly.
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has, however come out claiming that the Jubilee government is filled with relatives of the President and his Deputy.
“Mr Ruto has never found it necessary to condemn the unilateral appointments by Jubilee that has seen relatives, friends, sons and daughters of top leaders employed in influential positions for no reason other than kinship and friendship,” Wetang’ula said.
Both leaders of Jubilee and NASA have been pointing accusing fingers at each ahead of the August general polls.
