Jubilee party is in a dilemma in Mombasa county after failing to settle for a candidate in Mvita and Nyali due to infighting.
The delay to mention candidates in the two locations has been narrowed down to alleged favouritism and existence of a preferred line up.
The Political Parties Dispute Tribunal has ordered fresh nominations for Nyali and revoked the certificate that had been issued to Ashraf Bayusuf.
Bayusuf is competing with Yasir Noor. The party is yet to speak on the matter.
“In the alternative for an order directing the first respondent(Jubilee) to nominate the claimant (Noor) as its candidate for Member ofNational Assembly Nyali for the general election scheduled August 8,” the order read.
In Mvita, Mohamed Tenge has not been issued the ticket, despite the decision by Jubilee Party dispute tribunal orders that he should be handed the nomination certificate.
