Kenyans, he said, should ignore the opposition National Super Alliance because the coalition’s leadership is hell-bent on dividing the country on tribal lines.
Uhuru who is on a tour of the Western counties of Bungoma, Kakamega, Busia and Trans Nzoia said Jubilee’s main objective is to unite Kenyans and propagate equal development.
“Our main goal is to unite all Kenyans as we spread development across the country,” he said in Chwele, Bungoma County while on a campaign trail.
“We do not dwell on empty politics. We deliver on the promises we make and our development track record speaks for itself.”
“That is why we are requesting you to vote for the Jubilee team so that we can continue on the journey of development and transformation that we started four years ago.”
Uhuru has for the last close to one week been campaigning in Western, a vote-rich region with over three million registered voters.
He started the tour in Kakamega before landing in Trans Nzoia and later Bungoma. He is expected to campaign in the border county of Busia on Wednesday.
Kenya’s fifth commander in chief said the progress the country has made particularly in infrastructural development is enough to convince Kenyans vote for him in August.
He told the opposition to shun negative propaganda directed at his administration with the aim of tainting government’s image.
“Their work is to wake up every morning to spread negative talk. You only hear government has not done this and government has not done that and you wonder if these people live in Kenya,” a charged Uhuru said.
He called on Western residents to vote for him so that he completes the development work he started in 2013.
