Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has warned Jubilee Party politicians against swearing in President Uhuru Kenyatta following the outcome of October 26 repeat presidential election.
Khalwale said last week poll was shambolic and lacked legitimacy, and, therefore, Uhuru, who was declared the winner, should not take the oath of office.
"We are in trying moment where no one should attempt an act like that of swearing in Uhuru Kenyatta. If push comes to shove and that happens, then we will have no option but to swear in Raila based on the August results," he wrote in an opinion piece published by The Standard, Wednesday.
Khalwale reiterated that Jubilee colluded with the electoral commission to steal Raila's victory in the August 8 presidential election.
"Raila genuinely won with a majority in the August election, a fact everyone including Jubilee knows very well. If in doubt let the server the Supreme Court ordered opened be accessed with teams from police, Jubilee and NASA," the former Senator added.
Khalwale is the deputy party leader of FORD-Kenya, a NASA affiliate party.
