As Kenyans eagerly wait for the new cabinet to be named by President Uhuru Kenyatta, it is expected that a good number of them will be sent home for not meeting the threshold.
Jubilee is set to name and present their list to Parliament for vetting this week before the House breaks for the December holiday.
According to Citizen, a procedural motion is set to be tabled to move the onset of the holiday from December 7 to December 21 to give the House enough time to vet the cabinet nominees.
The House Plenary will be mandated with making the final say on the cabinet nominees before seeking the president's signature to make the appointments.
Currently, NASA affiliated MPs have however threatened not to be part of the whole process after terming the president as illegitimate and whose choices they do not recognise.
But Jubilee lawmakers have said they will go ahead with the task nonetheless.
Earlier this week, the current cabinet secretaries were thrown into panic after the president said that they all prepare handing over notes.
It is not known who will remain and who will go as Uhuru and Ruto have remained tight-lipped on the exercise.
Also not known is who will be transferred to other ministries, with arguably 'performing' ministers like Education CS Fred Matiang'i said to be on his way to a new office.
The president is also set to battle the headache of balance in terms of region, gender, religion, and ethnicity as he seeks to win the heart of a divided country for his second and last term.
Sources have said the president aims at increasing the current number of ministers from 19 to 22, as well as accommodate more allies in Permanent Secretary slots whose number has no constitutional limit.
