President Uhuru Kenyatta plans to beat NASA’s Raila Odinga in the first round of voting in the August 8 general election.Political strategists at the Jubilee party are plotting to get 11 million votes, which will be about 65% of the votes cast in order to deny the Opposition a second round of voting. According to the Star, President’s advisors want campaign team leaders in various parts of the country reshuffled to achieve the set targets. It is all in an attempt to dump those officials who conducted shambolic nominations during the Jubilee primaries, according to sources who spoke to the Star. NASA, on the other hand, have declared that they aim to get 10 million votes in the general election. The total number of registered voters, according to IEBC, is 19 million.
