[Photo: nation.co.ke] Kenya is in a precarious situation and brinkmanship by either Nasa or Jubilee won't yield any fruits, global chairman of Kenya Diaspora Alliance Dr Shem Ochuodho has said. Ochuodho has said that there is a need for both Jubilee and Nasa to sit down and reason ahead of October 26 repeat presidential poll."We are staring at a constitutional crisis and it is time we ended this grandstanding. Both parties must come to a middle ground," Ochuodho told NTV on Monday. He differed with Jubilee's move to use 'less technology' in the proposed amendment of the electoral laws. On his part, former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim differed with IEBC's move to reconfigure Kenya Integrated Electoral Management System saying it is doing it against the law."We might get in a situation where we need to hold a fresh general election again. IEBC is reconfiguring KIEMS against the law. What IEBC is doing is basically destroying evidence because the cases in court rely on these KIEMS kits," said Maalim.ODM Secretary General Dr Agnes Zani, however, rubbished the proposed amendments noting that IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati clearly said that IEBC does not need a new law.
