A high court judge presiding over the election petition challenging the victory of Trans Nzoia governor Patrick Khaemba has revealed that some unknown individuals have tried to bribe and intimidate him with regards to the case.

Justice Anthony Mrima on Tuesday warned both parties and counsels in the petition that he will not be intimidated by anybody.

"I have noted that there have been acts of threats on the court. I have been threatened and even written letters," said Mrima.

"My message is very clear and let it go down to everybody I will decide this case on the basis of Law and evidence and I will not be intimidated by anybody," he added.

The petition was filed by two voters who challenge the election of Khaemba.
