Judiciary chief registrar Anne Amadi has laughed off NASA's parallel inauguration threats.Addressing the media after surveying the progress of the preparations at the Kasarani Stadium Saturday, ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta's swearing-in ceremony dated for Tuesday, Amadi termed the threats as unreasonable. She said that the constitution only recognizes her as the only person who can swear in the president in the presence of the chief justice saying that NASA's planned coronation would be unconstitutional."It's only the Chief Registrar in the presence of the Chief Justice who can swear in the president.

In case of his absence, the Chief Justice place will be taken by the Deputy Chief Justice," said Amadi who maintained that preparations for the big day are running smoothly."On our side, we are ready to conduct the event. The oaths and documents are ready jus awaiting the event," she said. The government has since announced that over 20 heads of state have confirmed their attendance in the event that has been boycotted by the opposition.
