The Judiciary has been lauded for its preparations ahead of the August 8 elections.

African Union election observer led by former South Africa president Thabo Mbeki said the Judiciary's assurance to those who will not be satisfied with election results to seek help in court are among the best preparations the Judiciary has made.

Mbeki said elections laws should be adhered to, to ensure credible elections.

He urged politicians to respect justice, failure to which there will be violence.

Mbeki and AU chairman Moussa Faki paid a courtesy call at Supreme court where they met Chief Justice David Maraga.

CJ Maraga assured that the judiciary is committed to ensure elections are held as by the constitution timelines.
