The Judicial Service Commission has said that county governments are key stakeholders in the administration of justice.
High Court judge Justice Aggrey Muchelule said the judiciary will continue to work and support county governments with the aim of helping them realize the actual dream of devolution.
Speaking in Nakuru, Muchelule said that the judiciary will do so by building more courts and posting more judicial officers in counties.
He said that works on the new Sh347 million court in Nakuru was 70 percent complete and that once complete it will go a long way in attracting investors in the county.
He added that JSC will deploy more judges, magistrates, and judicial staff in Nakuru once the new court building is complete.
Nakuru high court judge Maureen Odero asked the county government of Nakuru to allocate secure houses for judges and magistrates.
She said the new courts will accommodate a Court of Appeal and other courts thus calling for more housing units for judicial officers.
