Juja Ward Member of County Assembly Mr Samuel Gitau has slammed those opposing the Kiambu County Finance Bill 2015/2016.
Gitau defended the county government saying it has been committed to providing services to Kiambu residents and that the Finance Bill was authored in good faith.
"When people bring politics in the matters of Finance Bill, I wonder where they want the county government to get money to provide services," said Gitau. Gitau who was speaking in Gachororo, Juja on Friday during a live radio debate organised by a local radio station, however, thanked residents of his ward saying they showed sobriety during the debating of the bill.
At the same time the MCA denied allegations of nepotism where a section of the audience had accused him of employing his relatives in his office. The crowd could however not agree with him which forced him to ask the alleged relatives to stand and state their relationship with him.
"It is very hard for us to achieve anything when we are engaged in politics of witch hunt at all times. None of my relatives works in my office," he said.
