According to the family, the MCA left the house on Saturday 8 pm to withdraw money from a local ATM only to go missing.

The MCA’s wife told reporters that Mr Gitau left the house but took long to return. “He left the house to the bank only for his vehicle to be found abandoned along the road, “she said.

The wife added that the MCA had no political enemies and that he had not complained that hs life could be in danger.

Police have since launched investigations to the matters.  A police officer who sought to remain anonymous said they have dusted the crime scene and launched probe.

“Our investigative officers are on the ground and soon we will establish the motive of the crime,” he said.

The officer said that they are tracking the phone of the MCA adding that nothing valuable was recovered at the scene.

Area MP Francis Munyu appealed to security agencies to beef up security in the area. The MP complained that cases of crime have gone up.

He further asked the government to license MCAs to own guns so as to improve their security.
