Juja residents have been called upon to support the police as they strive to maintain peace and order.

While addressing residents at Juja town on Friday, area MP Francis Munyua said that locals have a big role to play on matters security.

He said that as the police work tirlessly to maintain order, the public should be ready to support them.

“Members of the public must be willing and ready to work with law enforcers to promote order,” he said.

Munyua said that security is key to realization  of development across the country and every Kenyan must take responsibility.

The MP supported the recently passed and signed security laws saying they will put criminals and terror agents to their place.

He said that crime and terrorism is a threat to the development of the country and that the amended security  law will help to tame crime.

The MP said that the government has the responsibility to ensure that proper laws are in place to promote safety of Kenyans.

Munyua lashed out at some leaders critisizing the law saying that such individuals and grousp have no interests of Kenyans.

He said that Parliament is the maker of all laws and that their was nothing wrong in the manner in which the security law was passed.

The MP called for political good will saying it is the only way through which challenges facing the country would be addressed.
