The administrator told journalists at his office on Saturday that they are committed to serve the people.

He, however, said that they are counting on the support of residents to propel development and boost the living standards of the people.

“We are committed to diligently serve Juja people, what we need from them is their support especially on policy issues,” he said.

The administrator said that they are working on various development projects that will see Juja locals get quality services.

He added that the county government has given them enough resources to initiate development projects.

Okunye at the same time refuted claims that sub-county administrators are undermining the work of MCAs.

He said that there is a clear distinction on the roles being played by county administrators and ward representatives.

The administrator further denied claims that they are being used by the county government to frustrate the work of the MCAs.

“We continue to enjoy good working relations with our MCAs and claims that we are undermining their work are not true,” he said.

He said that sub-county administrators are not politicians and have no plan of engaging in politics.

A section of Kiambu MCAs has been complaining that the county government is using sub-county administrators to undermine them, allegations Governor William Kabogo refutes.

Kabogo, while speaking at Gachororo ward last week, cautioned sub-county administrators against engaging in politics and instead concentrate on addressing problems facing locals.
