More than 150 elderly and vulnerable people from Juja sub-county have decried unpaid cash in the OVC kitty they receive every month.
The Witeithie, Muthara, Kibute and Malaba residents have said that they have three months unpaid and each time they consult the officials concerned, they are directed to the sub-county offices which have denied access to the kitty.
The residents told Kiambu county women representative Annah Nyobaki that they had been receiving earlier but have been left out of payroll since May and no good reason has been given out.
The residents have vowed to protest if they do not receive all the funds by the end of this month saying that there have been allegations that some leaders have partnered to embezzle the funds meant for them.
However, the legislator, who had arrived in Juja to issue youth and women groups with funds, has promised the residents to advocate for their justice and get to the bottom of the issue saying that it is the right of every person to receive the payment if they have been approved.
She called onto the youths and women who have been left out of the Uwezo funds to apply so as to benefit from the second punch of disbursement in the area.
She was further launching the new Kiambu county women Sacco which is set to be officially launched by the president next month.
