The late Kwale Senator Boy Juma Boy’s daughter has been nominated to the Mombasa County Assembly.Amriya Juma Boy who hails from Kwale County was nominated by ODM leaders in Mombasa.The MCAs were sworn in by the Mombasa County Assembly clerk Salim Juma on Wednesday, last week.Amriya is among the fourteen female MCAs in the coastal city.Reports had earlier indicated that Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who is also the ODM deputy leader had a hand in Amriya’s nomination, claims the Governor has since dismissed as mere rumours.The late Juma Boy Juma died on February 12, 2017 while undergoing treatment at the Agha Khan Hospital.He was suffering from high blood pressure.His brother, Issah Juma Boy, succeeded him after being elected Kwale Senator in the August 8 polls.
