On Wednesday, Cord released the final respect ceremony arrangements of the assassinated prolific businessman, Jacob Juma.
Cord said a requiem mass will on be held on Thursday at All Saints Cathedral Church from 10am. The mass will be followed by a public body viewing on the same day at Uhuru Park. The deceased’s remains will later be taken to his Karen home for a night watch.
The opposition party on Friday announced that the entrepreneur’s body would depart for Kakamega airstrip at 9am for another public viewing at Masinde Muliro Gardens.
The late Juma’s body will then be flown to Bungoma where yet another public body viewing session will take place at Kanduyi Stadium in Bungoma after which the procession ferrying the body will head to his family home in Mungore village, Bumula Constituency.
The high profiled businessman will be laid to rest on Saturday after a church service scheduled to begin on 9am.
Juma was shot dead last week by unknown goons as he was reportedly veering past Lenana School on his way to his Karen home. Reports from police indicate that Juma drove from his bar at 9:30pm where he met his death. Nairobi CID boss, Ireri Kamwende said that Juma’s car was sprayed with an estimated ten bullets by unknown people who went underground using a motorbike.
