Omar, who has been critical of Governor Hassan Joho’s regime, had on Tuesday blasted Jumwa of ‘persistently interfering’ with internal affairs of a ‘foreign county’.

In her official Facebook page, Jumwa said continuous criticism of Omar was hindering progress in the coastal county.

“I have no problem with minding Kilifi County business but I will continue calling for the respect of our 2022 president (Hassan Joho). It is unfair to always direct your energy on crticising an innocent person,” she said.

“It even becomes cumbersome for someone to execute their responsibilities with such magnitude of criticism. He should give Joho a break,” she said without making direct reference to Omar.

In his latest fight with Joho, Omar has invited Ethic and Ant-Corruption Commission to investigate alleged fraudulent tendering in the department of environment.
