Aisha Jumwa warns that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto will face tough moments when campaigning in coastal region adding that locals are upset with treatment subjected to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
With his spirited campaign against Jubilee administration, Joho, who also doubles as ODM Deputy Leader, is facing a host of investigations among them forgery of academic papers.
But the Kilifi Women Representative blames Mr. Kenyatta of witch –hunt insisting that coastal people are prepared to face Jubilee administration in August polls.
“We are seeing what Jubilee is doing to people who as truth. They are targeting Joho just because he is fighting for the rights of the poor,” she said adding that she will ensure Jubilee Party gets ‘nothing’ in August elections.
Jumwa, who is also eyeing Malindi parliamentary seat added: “We shall make campaigns difficult for them if this trend continues and that is a fact.”
President Kenyatta is keen to score in regions perceived to be ODM strongholds and has already taken his campaigns to coastal region which Jubilee strategists have identified as swing regions.
His relationship with the Mombasa boss has deteriorated in the recent past and has often traded insults in public.
