Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has denied threatening Deputy President William Ruto spokesperson David Mugonyi for linking the legislator to the National Youth Service (NYS) scam.
In a complaint filed by Mugonyi with the police, he claims that Junet threatened to deal with him personally for allegedly authoring a press statement that was read by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa linking him to the NYS scandal.
However, in a quick rejoinder on Wednesday, Junet told the press that he did not issue any threat directed to Mugonyi, and that he does not have Mugonyi's contacts.
"He must be a mad man speaking on behalf of his masters who sent him to craft the malicious statement," Junet said.
"I do not know him and have never met him. He should provide evidence that I made such threats," he added.
