Suna East legislator Junet Mohammed.(Photo/Kenyatoday)Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohamed has echoed the opposition NASA alliance's allegation that Thursday's presidential election number of participants was ballooned.Speaking on NTV Sunday, the ODM MP maintained that the number being displayed by the national poll body IEBC is wrong saying that the alliance is in possession of proof stating otherwise."We know what we are saying when we tell the nation that the over 7 million voters who the IEBC is saying voted in the repeat election is a manipulated figure.Only 3.5 million people showed up to vote and we can prove that," said the vocal leader.Junet also took issue with a recent proposal tabled by former Budalangi lawmaker Ababu Namwamba, seeking to compel all Kenyans of age to take part in future elections. This is after a good number of voters heeded NASA leader Rails Odinga's call to boycott the concluded exercise. He opposed the move accusing Jubilee of using its numerical muscles in both legislative houses to harass Kenyans."People know that voting is their fundamental right and they must have a solid reason to not participate as they did on Thursday.Jubilee should keep off this issue and stop misusing its tyranny of numbers," said Junet.
