Kenya, under the rule of President Uhuru Kenyatta, has become an autocratic State.
According to Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, the current happenings in the country has no match in Kenya's independence history.
The ODM legislator cited the recent clampdown of the media and increasing brutality on opposition MPs as the signs that Kenya is firstly plunging to anarchy.
"There is no government and there is no opposition right now," he told the Nation on Thursday.
The MP added: "We just have rulers and servants. What is going on, really, has made the life of anyone thought to be pro-opposition very difficult."
Junet, who is also Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) director of elections, further accused the Jubilee regime of impunity for ignoring court orders on release of NASA activists and switching on air TV stations which it had closed.
"Uhuru’s government has negated the huge strides we had made after the 2010 Constitution, the doctrine of the separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, and devolution," he remarked.
The MP's vehicle, granted as the official National Assembly Minority chief whip, was on Wednesday taken away by the government on accusations that he participated in the 'swearing-in' of Raila as the people's president last week.
The State has also withdrawn passports and security details of opposition lawmakers associated with the oath which was administered on January 30, 2018.
