Junet Mohammed says President Uhuru Kenyatta should contemplate quitting from presidential race due to his inability to ‘manage’ the country’s economy.
The Suna East MP who was speaking at Isiolo town on Wednesday challenged the president to ‘study’ the mood on the ground following his poor reception in his former stronghold- Isiolo.
Last week, one person died when Kenyatta toured the region in a chaotic rally which presidency ha since dismissed as ‘minor’ local politics.
“He was here last week and you told him off. It will be a good move if he contemplates withdrawing out of the race.
“Kenyans are tired with someone who cannot manage our economy. The country risks plunging into economic crisis just because of him. It’s time to quit for his own good,” he added.
NASA principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi had pitched tent in the Eastern region county.
Mohammed, who is defending his Suna East seat, is leading Raila Odinga’s campaigns that focus on marginalized communities.
