ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohammed has dismissed claims that party leader Raila Odinga had promised to support ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi for NASA ticket.
In a shocking revelation on Thursday, Mr. Godfrey Kanoti, a close associate on Mudavadi, claimed that Odinga had made the pledge late last year.
But in a quick rejoinder amid a looming fallout within the NASA coalition, Mohammed termed the claims as mere ‘bar talk’ adding that the claims were imaginations.
“I do not think there is anything like that. Raila cannot make such decisions alone and if there is anything of such nature, it must be bar talk,” Mohammed told the Star.
The Suna East MP further said: “We came up with a technical committee which has made a report that will be discussed by all principals.”
Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have expressed interest in NASA presidential ticket and they are set to make an agreement next week.
Under the alleged lineup by Kanoti, Mudavadi would be the flag bearer with Kalonzo as his deputy while Mr. Odinga would serve as Prime Minister.
