[Photo| Courtesy]Embakasi East MP Babu Owino as been released, after he was was re-arrested, Wednesday.The ODM first time controversial MP, had been released on cash bail of Sh500,000, Wednesday, after he faced charges of allegedly insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta.He was later re-arrested shortly after leaving the Milimani Law Courts, over an incident he allegedly committed while still a SONU student leader.On Thursday, his case was scheduled for 9am at the Kibra Law Courts, but was later pushed to 4pm.One of his lawyers, Nelson Havi, said Owino was charged with a minor offense in respect to an alleged altercation on August 8, 2017, and that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, was opposed to his release on bond or bail, before the ruling 4.00pm.The lawmaker, was later released, on a bond of Sh500,000 or Sh200,000 cash bail. Before the release, students at UoN and TUK took to streets to protest his arrest.
