The president of the National Olympics Committee of Kenya (Noc-K) Kipchoge Keino has been forced to call off the body's elections.

This is after the Kenya Tae-Kwondo Association (KTKA) obtained a court order blocking the election, that was to be held today, Friday.

KTKA official George Wasonga, presented an order to Noc-K officials Friday morning, forcing Keino - to cancel the polls, that were to be held at the Panari Hotel, Nairobi.

The court order was issued Thursday May 4, pending a hearing scheduled for, May 8, 2017.

KTKA, the Daily Nation reports, sought an injunction, stopping the election, after the Centre for Multiparty Democracy-Kenya (CMD) barred them alongside Kenya Cycling Federation (KCF) from being part of the process.

Delegates had already converged at the Hotel, ready for the elections. Paul Tergat sought to lead the body.
