Yesterday, a man armed with a panga stormed Ruto’s home and injured one policeman.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet in a statement said the injured officer was in a stable condition after being taken to hospital.
Reports say operations to flush out the lone assailant is still ongoing.

The loud bangs at Ruto’s home were heard at around 6:50am Sunday, The Daily Nation reports.
More police officers have been deployed to address the situation.
