The debate on academic credentials in leadership could be far from over after National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale claimed that Baringo Senator Gideon Moi,is also a major victim.

In what could be a defining moment in raising standards in leadership, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is facing a career threatening allegations over forgery of KCSE certificate.

Although he has maintained his innocence, the debate seems to have shifted to Moi, a son to former President Daniel Moi.

“Before he tells us of presidency, let him join university and graduate,” said Duale during Saturday’s Jubilee rally in Bomet.

The Garissa Town MP added: “He is busy flexing muscles with us yet he has no papers. We want him to go to class.”

Although Duale’s allegations cannot be immediately verified, the former Baringo Central MP however has been in leadership for over a decade.

Having supported President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection, Moi has maintained that he will also go for 2022 presidential race.
