Despite scoring grade D [minus] in his 1993 KCSE, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho may not be the only high profile leader to have ‘failed’ at least according to Kenyan education system.
The firebrand ODM deputy leader is also facing career threatening forgery claims in which it is allege that he forged a KCSE certificate to gain entry to university of Nairobi.
Even though he has denied the allegations and blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for alleged witch hunt, Joho has maintained that he would not relent in his pursuit to fight for better leadership.
Shockingly, former US President George Bush is also among students who did fairly badly in their High School examinations.
“President George Bush while visiting alma mater Yale University told students that those like him who had grade D can have a bright future,” wrote city lawyer Ahmed Nassir on his official Twitter account.
Bush, a son to American’s 41st President George Hebert Bush, was American’s 43rd President and served for two consecutive terms before being replaced by Kenyan-American Barack Obama in 2008.
In his admission over grades, Joho said he served as a living model to younger people who may think that scoring badly is a misfortune.
“I am proud for scoring a D minus because I have made it better by fighting in my entire life,” he said on Monday.
