This was enough to show how much the Kenyan boy child is exposed to dangers just like the girl child.

Recently, Education CS Amina Mohamed signed a deal with the UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson to help in the ‘Leave no Girl Behind’ campaign. Embu County Government also resolved to provide under-wears and sanitary towels to young girls in the county.

But what about the boy child? Here are two major parameters where the Kenyan boy child should be given enough attention just like the girl child is;

1. Drug addiction

Alcoholism has taken over the boy child. While the government protects the girl child from rape, premarital pregnancies, and early marriages, the boy child's affairs are not much considered but rather neglected. Drug addiction is largely affecting the boys and the government should step in to put this to a permanent halt.

2. Gambling addiction

If only one could be allowed to check in to the databases of the gambling platforms in Kenya such as sportPesa, Betin and the rest then sure enough 99% of the participants would be found to be the boy child. The male child is swimming into the deepest zones of gaming addiction and it is upon the government to put this to a stop.

Big applause to Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i for his continued fight against gambling activities in the country and Kiambu county government led by Governor Ferdinand Waititu for the fierce fight against alcoholism in the region.
