Chief Justice nominee Justice David Maraga has promised to visit his home village of Bosose in Nyamira County once he is confirmed to thank the people for their support and prayers all through the process.
Speaking on the phone to this writer, Maraga said he received the news of his nomination in disbelieve since he was not expecting it.
He promised to give Kenyans the best with regards to judicial matters.
"Am happy for the best the community offered me, it brought me up and taught me how to serve people in a Christ manner, my humble background has brought me this far and I promise to deliver my mandate," said Justice Maraga.
Celebrations are ongoing in Justice Maraga's Bosose village in West Mugirango constituency as the villagers promised to camp at the home for prayers until he is finally confirmed for the top Judiciary job.
