[Photo|standard.co.ke]Supreme Court's Justice Njoki Ndung'u is set to appear before the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for questioning, after she was accused of gross misconduct, in a certain case.It is believed Ndung'u filed an application to block a case that lawyer Apollo Mboya had filed against her, prompting JSC to file an application before High Court Judge Chacha Mwita, seeking to have Justice Ndung'u defend herself in person, over the matter.Mboya accused Ndung’u and her colleague, Justice Jackton Ojwang of illegally boycotting duty, therefore crippling the Supreme Court's operations for about two weeks, in the application filed August 2017.In response, she filed an affidavit challenging JSC's decision to castigate her, saying that she was not accorded a fair hearing.JSC whose chairman is Supreme Court President Chief Justice David Maraga, wants to cross-examine Ndung'u about minutes of a meeting held by Supreme Court judges on October 6.Mwita will give further directions on October 9, a local online paper, reported, Wednesday.
