High Court Judge George Odunga has ordered that Sh200, 000 be deducted from the salaries of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and PS of Immigration Gordon Kihalwaga.
This will serve as a fine fir contempt of court over the deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna.
The government officials had been ordered to appear before court and explain why Miguna was not allowed into the country when he landed on Monday evening.
However, they failed to attend the session without unclear reasons.
Odunga stated that they could not be sentenced because police officers are their juniors.
In his Thursday afternoon ruling, Odunga stated that the salary deduction will serve as a fine instead of a sixth month prison sentence.
