Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has assured the family of the  Irene Kerubo who was killed by a stray bullet at Daraja Mbili market on Thursday that justice will be done.

Addressing family members and locals on Friday at Kerubo's home in Bonyandoroche village, Bogiakimu ward, Bonchari Sub-county, Maangi said that the officers who did the act have already recorded a statement and the law will take its part. 

"It is sad to lose someone who was dedicated to providing for the family. As a county government, we will follow up the matter until justice is done. Once investigations will be done the suspects will be arraigned in court to face charges,"  Maangi said. 

He noted that Kisii county government will not accept the killing of innocent people as it happened on Thursday. 

He urged locals and family members to be calm as the government will look into the matter.

He assured them of Kisii county government support during this time of sorrow.
