Kabando Kabando has warned that Kenya could plunge into unnecessary chaos should President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga fail to agree ahead of October 26th elections.
Protests have marred several regions across the country as the opposition continues to push for removal of a section of IEBC officials he accuses of bungling August polls.
And the former Mukurweini MP says the country could break should Uhuru maintain his hard stand with regard to October elections.
“The problem with my Jubilee side is underestimating Raila Odinga’s withdrawal. This is a man who enjoys fanatical following in the country and if we are not careful, he will delegitimize polls.
“Don’t pretend that you don’t know who Odinga is. If we go to dialogue without dialogue, 26th could be the day that the country may break a part,” he added.
Also sharing similar sentiments with Kabando are Uhuru’s allies William Kabogo, Peter Mositet and Martha Karua.
A defiant Uhuru has ruled out dialogue insisting that he will participate in October polls with or without Mr. Odinga on ballot.
