Former State House accountant Mburu Kang'ethe and Kabete parliamentary seat aspirant has vowed to fight unemployment if elected as are Member of Parliament.
Addressing supporters at Kabete shopping centre on Thursday, the aspirant said that unemployment is real and must be fought.
He pledged to devise creative ways of reducing unemployment if residents will give him an opportunity to be their MP.
“I am ready to fight unemployment and many other challenges facing the youth if given an opportunity to be an MP,” he said.
The aspirant also pledged to promote the welfare of women and disabled persons if elected.
He said that women have an important role to play in development and that thorugh his leadership will promote their rights.
The aspirant urged residents to remain calm as they wait to take part in the by-election slated for May 4 this year.
The Kabete parliamentary seat was left vacant following the death of George Muchai who was the area lawmaker.
Muchai, together with his three aides, was killed last month along the Uhuru highway in Nairobi by an armed gunman.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has set May 4 as the by-election date.
The seat has attracted several aspirants among them former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu.
