Kabete ward representative, Walter Ndambo, has urged both the state and the county government to urgently beef up area security.

Addressing journalists at Kabete shopping center on Thursday, Ndambo said that crime cases in the area has gone high.

“I have received several complaints from the public on security and want to urge the county government to intervene,” said Ndambo.

The MCA said that some residents are living in fear of being attacked and robbed by criminal gangs.

He asked the police to mount more security operations and swoops so as to improve security.

He pledged to support the police to fight and curb criminals in the area.

“We will work and support police operations in order to fight crime,” promised Ndambo.

The Kabete MCA further urged the police to develop a good relationship with the locals.

He noted that good police-public relationship will help to fight criminal gangs.

Meanwhile, the MCA urged locals to maintain peace as the county government formulates development policies.

He assured residents that the county government is committed to improve and promote their living economic standards.
