Former Embakasi MP Ferdinarnd Waititu, who is among the 25 candidates who have expressed interest in Kabete Parliamentary seat, has said that Kabete people are the ones who asked him to be their MP.
According to Waititu, Kabete voters have piled pressure on him to be their next MP, seeing that he is a brave and a courageous leader.
“I cannot ignore the wish of the Kabete people, I have listened to them and that is why I will be vying for the seat by a JAP ticket,” said Waititu.
“They will live to remember me once I become their MP because my work, even in Embakasi is outstanding,” he added.
He has however said that if elected, he will only serve for the remaining two years before 2017, as he still aspires to be the Nairobi Governor.
“Our wealth is in Nairobi and that is why I will have to be back in the Nairobi gubernatorial race. What I will do for Kabete people, if they elect me, is what matters and not the period I will represent them,” added Waititu.
He has also denounced rumours that he is trying to remain politically relevant by vying for Kabete seat, saying that he is being driven by his passion of serving people.
He was speaking to the press on Thursday in Kabete, where he has pitched camp to garner for nominations support.
