Kiambu governor William Kabogo has blamed the county commissioner Alex ole Nkoyo for the increase in insecurity incidences in the county.

Speaking to the press in Ruiru on Tuesday, Kabogo called on the county commissioner to do his job instead of involving himself in some side businesses that doesn’t concern him.

“This is my appeal to the county commissioner to do what brought him in Kiambu and avoid politics. He cannot be attending political rallies when the members of public are suffering. Do your work Mr Commissioner,” Kabogo wondered.

The governor cited the recent meeting held in Makongeni area of Thika sub-county where the county commissioner together with other security personnel were present and assured the traders of their justice.

Kabogo said that Kiambu people are easily incited and urged them to concentrate on working to improve their living standards rather than waste time with politicians who are just after building their political grounds.

“Let’s not always be on politics. There is time for everything and this is time to work and time for politics will come,” he added.

The county boss told off his political rivals accusing him of involvement in the Madaraka market incident and refuted such claims.
