Kabogo who was speaking during an interview on Inooro TV on Tuesday night, said that upon applying for the license the holder will be issued with a badge that will enable them do business in any market in the county without further charges.

"We are telling the market traders that instead of paying Sh20 daily to the levy collectors, just go to your sub-county office and apply for a one-off license that will serve you the whole year," Kabogo said.

He added, "The license will enable you to transact business in any market within the county at any given time."

The governor also refuted claims that his government was still charging high levies saying that the accusers were those who were still living in the old order.

"Our levies are the same with many other counties if not lower. We have stamped out corruption in revenue collection and that is why those who used to evade levies are finding it hard to be accommodated in the new order," he said.
